How we work

You send the URL. We do the job.

You don’t need to diagnose the site, learn SEO or manage a collection of AI tools. Start with the website and tell us what you know.

We investigate what is happening, decide what is worth doing, build the right workflow around the job, and take the work through production, implementation and review.

You stay involved in the decisions that need you. We handle the work that doesn’t.

Who does what

Here’s what we need from you.

We need your knowledge of the business. You shouldn’t need ours.

You searchency
Send us the site Review the site and establish what we’re working with
Tell us what you know Investigate search, competitors, content and technical issues
Give us the context we can’t discover ourselves Work out what deserves attention and what probably doesn’t
Answer important business questions Build the research, prompts, workflows and production process
Review decisions that affect your business Produce, optimise, implement and QA the work
Approve what needs approval Monitor the result and recommend what happens next

We ask for your judgement where it matters, not your time for work we can do ourselves.

The process

What happens after you say yes.

  1. 01

    We start with the site

First, we look before we prescribe.

We review the site, its structure, important pages and visible search performance. If the job is already clear, we start there. If it isn’t, we find out what deserves attention.

What we may need from you The URL, access where relevant, and a short explanation of the business or problem.

  2. 02

    Research

We build the context before we build the output.

Depending on the job, we look at search demand, competitors, existing pages, products, customers, positioning and technical issues.

What you see The findings that affect the decision, not a dump of everything we researched.

  3. 03

    Priorities

We decide what is worth doing first.

Not every issue deserves fixing. Not every keyword deserves a page. More content is not automatically the answer.

A list of 200 problems is easy. Deciding which five matter is the useful part.

  4. 04

    Build the workflow

The job determines how the work gets made.

A five-page positioning project, 200 articles and 50,000 product records should not go through the same process. We choose the models, inputs, prompts, automation and review around the actual job.

Before large-scale production We make and review a representative sample first.

  5. 05

    Produce and implement

    Then we do the work.

That might mean rewriting existing pages, creating new ones, producing a catalogue, fixing technical SEO or changing site structure. On WordPress we can usually implement directly. On other platforms we prepare the work for your developers and review the result.

Your role You approve what genuinely needs your approval.

  6. 06

    Measure and improve

Going live gives us new information.

We look at indexing, rankings, traffic and the pages that matter. What moved, and what didn’t, becomes the input for the next round of ongoing work.

Different jobs

Same principles. Different process.

Five important pages

More individual research, discussion, positioning work, writing and human review.

An ongoing SEO programme

Research and priorities become continuous. Existing pages, new opportunities and results feed into each other.

50,000 product records

More work happens upfront: data, rules, samples, automation and QA before production begins at scale.

The process follows the job. We don’t push every client through the same package.

Timing

How long does the work take?

There isn’t one useful answer. A site analysis, five critical pages and a 50,000-product catalogue are different jobs. What we can tell you before we start is the scope, stages and expected delivery schedule.

Analysis

A defined project with a clear delivery date.

Project work

Larger jobs are divided into agreed stages and review points.

Ongoing work

Work runs in regular cycles with an agreed production scope.

You’ll know the expected schedule before the work starts.

Visibility

You shouldn’t have to wonder what’s happening.

What we’re working on

You know the current scope, priorities and what stage the work is at.

What needs your input

Questions and approvals are grouped where possible rather than sent one at a time.

What has been delivered

Pages, files, implementation tasks, published work and results stay clear and traceable.

Low management overhead. No black box.

Boundaries

What we won’t do.

Hide behind AI

The tool that produced something is our problem. The quality of the result is what you should care about.

Publish unreviewed work at scale

Large production runs start with samples, rules and QA.

Invent facts about your business

If something important can’t be researched or reasonably inferred, we ask.

Keep producing work that isn’t useful

If the evidence says the plan should change, we change it.

Deliverables

What you get depends on the job. Clarity doesn’t.

What we found

Research, problems, opportunities and priorities.

What we made

Pages, content, technical changes or other agreed deliverables.

What went live

Published work or developer-ready implementation requirements.

What happened next

Indexing, rankings, traffic and what the results tell us.

You should always know what was done, why it was done and what happens next.
